The next poker tournament is on the 6-7th of December!
Pokerfinnkampen 2008 will be played three times during the year. Venue is as last year Reval Park Casino in Tallinn. Pokerfinnkampen is a well known concept within poker. It is a tournament and competition on a national level between Swedes and Finns, but also an individual competition between the players.
Pokerfinnkampen started in 2007 after a pilot tournament in December 2006. In 2007, four tournaments were held at the Reval Park Hotel and Casino in Tallinn, Estonia. The total number of players last year amounted to approx. 400. The competitions are played as No Limit Texas Hold’em tournaments with a maximum of 100 players representing each country. There are three ranking systems used in order to determine the winners: Individual, Terminator and Total Ranking.
Pokerfinnkampen 2008 is co-hosted with some of the best online poker sites, and you as a player can look forward to special prices and deals at the tournament events.
The buy-in is 6300+630 Estonian Kroon (EEK) (app. €400+40), due to national legislation all buy-in and prices are in EEK for simplicity we communicate all costs etc in Euros though the exact cost and price is dependent on the daily exchange rate.
Package price is estimated at €750 including buy-in, travelling and accommodation in double room, and the deadline to sign up is the 10th of November.

The first event of three for 2008 continued in same pace as last years with the addition that the point difference between the two countries was the biggest ever:

Another interesting fact is that the current overall leader is not the winner of event, but actually the third place finnisher, due to the additional points a player win or loose by terminating a fellow or opposite countryman. Top Three in Ranking are:
Janne Pitko (Finland) - 290p
Tuomas Jalonen (Finland) - 260p
Erik Eklund (Finland) - 250p
The best ranked Swede was the fifth place finnisher Carl-Johan Geijer 160p.
